IVF is the most complex treatment offered to couples with subfertility.
It is appropriate to offer IVF in the following circumstances:
- Tubal Infertility – tubal blockage or disease (including previous ectopic pregnancies)
- Endometriosis
- Moderate male factor infertility
- When other treatments have failed e.g. IUI
- Severe male factor infertility (IVF-ICSI)
At NUH Life, we do not have the facilities to provide IVF. If you need it, we can provide all the necessary information and point you in the direction of high quality local providers. Ultimately the decision of where to go for IVF is up to you – but rest assured that all providers in the Nottingham region have a great reputation and success rates when compared to the rest of the UK.
Nearest IVF providers
Some IVF providers are based in NHS hospitals, and many are stand alone private clinics.
Below is a list of the nearest IVF units to NUH. If you are funded by the NHS within Nottingham you are likely to be directed to Nurture or CARE Nottingham, but if you live further afield and are self-funding you can research your nearest clinic and opt for the one that suits you best.
