Oriana
Andrology Lab Practitioner
I graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences, during which I did two competitive internships in Italy and Canada.
I joined the NUH Life team in November 2024. I am the practitioner in the lab, and my main responsibility is the processing of diagnostic samples, and I do a lot of the treatment preps and freezes. I also manage our stock take and batch control and support the Andrologists.
This is my first fertility role, and I am enjoying learning the about the sector and the skills required to be an Andrologist. I was able to attend a workshop day on donor conception and have a particular interest in supporting families using donor gametes, especially LGBTQ+ families. I aim to complete a Master’s degree in reproductive technologies and pursue a role as a fully qualified Andrologist.
